Role Summary:
Vertex are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Marketing Manager for an 8 month contract.
This role will focus on supporting the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) franchise and driving the commercial success of Vertex’s latest CF products across Distributor markets.
Vertex’s distributor region spans 40 markets across Central & Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, where they collaborate with trusted third-party distributor partners to deliver impactful solutions.
The position will involve strategic planning, execution of marketing initiatives, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and distributor partners across diverse geographies.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful marketing strategies in a fast-paced, international environment.
A key focus for this assignment will be in supporting their web presence across their Distributor Markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the develop and implementation of CF marketing strategies across ~40 Distributor markets.
- Support the execution of major CF product launches, including the creation of launch toolkits, training materials, digital assets, and partner-facing resources.
- Oversee website content development, updates, and maintenance to support regional marketing needs.
- Collaborate with Distributor partners across Central & Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America to gather insights and feedback.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with marketing colleagues across diverse companies and cultures.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment with Medical, Market Access, and international teams.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and processes to ensure timely and efficient execution of marketing initiatives.
- Measure the impact of marketing tactics and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical marketing or related fields such as pharmaceutical sales or advertising.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate insights and apply them to business opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing strategies and monitor their performance.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies.
- Expertise in developing and implementing marketing strategies and tactical plans.
- Experience with communications review committees for the approval of external materials.
- Strong project management skills, including budget management and timeline tracking.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and website content management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
- Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a dynamic setting.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in international pharmaceutical marketing and healthcare innovation would be preferred.
