The Drug Metabolism & Pharmacokinetics Research Associate is responsible for carrying out various well-defined routine DMPK in vitro and/or in vivo studies and participating in some independent research activities, under supervision of a senior scientist or manager. 

 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Participates in planning of one or more types of DMPK experiments and performs experiments with limited supervision and responsible follow-up 

  • Conducts routine in vitro and/or in vivo DMPK experiments following established methodology and procedures with minimal supervision 

  • Performs initial analysis of routine experimental data and interprets immediate experimental outcomes and/or conclusions within established protocols 

  • Identifies routine technical problems and performs routine instrument maintenance 

  • May be expected to present at internal group research meeting 

  • Follows procedures from the literature, adapting them as necessary with oversight 

 

Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Demonstrates reliable technical skills in one or more DMPK routine assays 

  • Exhibits reliable ability to independently interpret routine, uncomplicated data 

  • Selects approach to optimize some routine DMPK experimental procedures 

  • Displays emerging ability to modify experimental designs and protocols to enable experimental and/or methodological improvement 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and change priorities at short notice 

  • Ability to present results in both oral and written reports 

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
